Brown County Water Utility Inc. offers a wide variety of convenient payment options for our customers. Simply choose the option that best suits your needs.

Online Bill Payment

For our member's convenience, Brown County Water Utility, Inc., is happy to accept credit and debit cards. Simply click on the "pay your bill now" button to the right or at the bottom of this page.  A convenience charge will apply.  Current Charges are due on or before the 20th day of every month to avoid late fees.

Past Due Charges Must Be Paid According to the Mailed Billing Statement Due Date to avoid Disconnection of Water Service.  Online Bill Pay Statements are not intended to replace your MAILED Billing Statement.  Contact our office if you did not receive a mailed billing statement.

New Online Bill Payment Web Portal

You will need to re-establish your login credentials

and “Sign up” to Register your Account.

To register for a new portal account, choose Sign Up under the Go button. A window will open, where users will be asked for the following information:

First Name, Last Name: Enter a first and last name to use in the portal. This name can be changed later in the Manage User window.

Email: Enter an email address to associate with this account. This email will be used to change the password in the event that it is forgotten and can additionally be used to receive paperless bills or messages from the utility.

Phone Number: Enter a phone number which the utility can use to contact the customer.

Password: Customers should create a password that is secure, but easily remembered.

Confirm Password: Enter the password again to confirm that it has been entered accurately.

Billing Account Number: This is the billing account to associate with this portal account. This information can be found on a bill.

  • Be sure to enter the dashes between the numbers.
  • Users can associate more than one billing account, if paying the bill for multiple accounts. These can be added later, after initial setup. See Add Account

Last Bill Amount: This is the amount which was charged on the user's most recent bill and is used as verification. After entering the information, click "Submit." Users will receive two emails, both of which are sent to the email address entered during signup:

  1. One email will ask the user to verify this email address. Verify it if it is correct.
  2. One email will let the user know if the account linking process was successful or unsuccessful.

After verifying the email address:

If the account linking process was successful, in the portal, the user will be redirected to the

login page with a message reading that the email validation was successful.

If the account linking process was unsuccessful, in the portal, you will be prompted to enter

the billing account information again before logging in. Please check your JUNK email for a confirmation emails from BCWU to continue.

Communications through the website is for non-emergency messages only. Email is not monitored afterhours, weekends or holidays. 

The New Web Portal offers additional options, including Paperless Billing. The Paperless Billing option will require the user to authorize/signup through the Online Bill Payment Web Portal.

Through our online bill payment web portal you can access your account information.  First, establish an online bill payment account, if you haven’t already.  You don’t have to pay your bill through the online bill payment account, but you can use it for informational purposes.  You can access your water usage history, billing & payment history and view your most recent billing statement, which is where you could check your water usage a little earlier than receiving your billing statement through the regular mail.  We typically produce our billing statements the first day of every month.  

In Person Office or Drive-up

To avoid longer wait times, please note that Mondays, the 20th day of every month and the first day after a holiday are normally very busy.  Current Charges are due on or before the 20th day of every month to avoid late fees.

Pay By Phone Credit/Debit Card Service

For our member's convenience, Brown County Water Utility, Inc., is happy to accept credit and debit cards. Simply Call Toll-Free 844-286-1786.  A convenience charge will apply.  Current Charges are due on or before the 20th day of every month to avoid late fees.

Payment By Mail

If paying by check or money order through the mail, please send all payments with your payment coupon in the provided envelope. Please mail your payment at least (7-10) business days before the due date specified on your bill.  Brown County Water Utility is not responsible for mail delivery and does not go by the postmark on the envelope. Current Charges are due on or before the 20th day of every month to avoid late fees.

Automatic Bank Draft

The worry-free way to pay your water bill. With this service, the amount of your monthly bill is automatically deducted from your bank account and credited to your utility account. There is no set-up fee or charge associated with this method of payment. To set up Automated Bank Draft, simply download and fill out the Bank Draft Authorization Agreement Form located at the bottom of the page or in the Forms & Reports Section.  Drop the application off or mail it to our office, along with a voided check.

Payment Night Depository on Location

You may pay your bill in person at our office address 24/7 by using our convenient Night Depository; envelopes available on site. We accept cash, check, or money orders. Current Charges are due on or before the 20th day of every month to avoid late fees.

Payment Through Financial Institution Online Bill Pay

Many financial institutions such as major banks offer their customers the ability to pay their bills through an online bill payment service (through your bank's website). Normally, these services debit the customer's checking or savings account to pay the bill. Depending on the financial institution, they may or may not charge a fee for the service. Payments may take up to 7-10 business days to post to the customer's account. Online Bank Bill Payments come to BCWU in check form, not electronic.  Please consult with your bank for more information. Current Charges are due on or before the 20th day of every month to avoid late fees.
